capsules with 100%impact & 0% waste

We didn’t start selling coffee for coffee’s sake but to organize the coffee chain radically differently. An important part of our FairChain rebellion is that coffee is processed in the coffee countries themselves so that much more money is left there and jobs are created that give the youth a proud future, independent of development aid.

We have been doing this since 2012 with our coffee beans. And now also with coffee cups. But why only now?

We waited until we could ALSO produce the cups in the coffee country. So this way your cups are not only biodegradable but also 100% FairChain and help the farmer to a livable income. Taste the cups and contribute to a coffee chain where everyone wins

Radically delicious

We found the trifecta of beans, 2 from Congo and 1 from Uganda. Together they are the trio that will wake you up.

meet the farmer

UGANDA | KASESE | 2,000M
Our farmers grow the specialty coffee on the border of Africa’s oldest national park: Virunga national park, located on the border of Uganda and Congo.

CONGO | KIVU | 1,500M
The area where coffee is grown stretches along Lake Edward and Virunga National Park.

Organic farming is paramount, which is why both our farmers from Uganda and Congo are members of a cooperative. This cooperative has achieved international standards for organic certification and now leads an organic partnership with more than 2,300 small coffee farmers.

Meet the collectors

After harvest, local farmers bring their ripe, red berries to the Virunga cooperative’s wetmill. The berries are washed and, for the best quality, slowly dried on drying beds. In this process, the farmers remove the green bean from the red berry.

meet the roaster

Roasting and packaging takes place in Kenya. The roaster has designed a special roasting profile for each flavor so that you drink the coffee as it was intended.

By roasting and packaging the coffee in the country of origin, we establish a fair relationship between producers and consumers. This simple shift in the coffee supply chain improves the lives of millions of people in a radical and positive way.

ROASTING AND PACKING IN THE COUNTRY OF ORIGIN LEAVES MORE MONEY BEHIND!

300 to 500% more

Meet the packager

To be allowed to shout from the rooftops that these are 100% FairChain capsules, the capsules must also be packaged in the coffee belt. This is why we made sure that the capsules can be made in Kenya. By doing so, we are creating jobs and ensuring economic growth.

That’s FairChain impact!

100% BIODEGRADABLE

Cups are completely biodegradable, which means they disintegrate within 8 weeks after being thrown away. Get rid of those aluminum cups!
